Born in Baghdad and raised in London before moving to the United States, I've lived my life on three continents. I started off singing in the shower before starting my own band, Mama’s Nuts, aptly titled by my son. Although my musical career is nowhere near as illustrious as my fellow musicians’ on this project, we all share a love and appreciation for music and a passion for living life to the fullest! I received my BA in English literature from Columbia and my master's in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley. I currently in work my own private practice called Sublime Psychotherapy and I specialize in treating addiction, trauma and identity formation. I am profoundly grateful for seeing my clients grow from survivors into thrivers as they experience feeling safe, seen, heard, valued, understood, and unconditionally cared for. I am blessed to be the mother of an amazing fourteen-year-old boy, and my passions include writing, traveling the world, reading, chasing the waves with my boogie board, and spending time with friends and family enjoying my favorite hobby of all — laughter.
